Vitamin Injections in Durham

Vitamin injections are provided at Zazura following a health screening. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or investigation, and are only given where screening shows it is appropriate.

What is vitamin injections?

A short health questionnaire and screening is completed before any treatment.

Where appropriate, an injection is administered using a sterile single-use needle.

You are asked to remain in the clinic briefly afterwards.

Consultation

A health screening is required. If your symptoms suggest something that should be investigated by your GP, we will say so and recommend you speak to them first.

What does it feel like?

A brief sharp scratch, with possible aching at the site afterwards.

Treatment time

Approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Downtime

None, though the injection site may feel tender for a day.

Who may not be suitable?

Before your appointment

  • Complete the health screening honestly and in full.

  • Eat and drink normally beforehand.

Aftercare

  • Keep the injection site clean and dry for a few hours.
  • Contact your GP or NHS 111 if you feel unwell.
  • Let us know about any reaction so it can be recorded.
